Set up the keyboard
- Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and choose QwertyAI.
- In any text field, press and hold the globe key and choose QwertyAI. The app's Try the keyboard screen is a good place to test it.
- Allow Full Access is optional. Typing and corrections work without it. It only lets the keyboard and app share your learned-word list and settings.
Requirements
- iPhone running iOS 26 or later.
- The Apple system model needs a device that supports Apple Intelligence, with Apple Intelligence turned on.
- The optional downloadable model needs about 700 MB of free space and a download in the app before first use.
Common questions
The keyboard does not appear.
Check it is added under Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards, then press and hold the globe key to switch to it.
Nothing is being corrected.
Corrections start after a short pause in typing. Check the correction strength in the keyboard's gear menu (suggestions-only mode asks you to tap), that Apple Intelligence is on, and that the downloadable model has finished downloading if you selected it.
How do I undo a correction?
Tap Undo correction in the keyboard toolbar, or press backspace once. Either restores exactly what you typed, as long as you have not changed the text since.
Does it work in password and other secure fields?
No. iOS does not allow custom keyboards in secure fields, and QwertyAI skips email addresses, URLs and numeric fields.
How do I delete the words it learned?
Use Forget learned words in the keyboard's settings, or Delete saved words in the app. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
How do I remove the downloaded model?
Open the app and use the model's Delete control.
